The difference between a good World Cup and the end of your journey is often just one move! Vidit played a phenomenal FIDE World Cup 2021. He beat Fier, Adhiban, Xiong and Durarbayli, but wasn’t able to overcome the Duda conundrum. Jan Krzysztof Duda played a very interesting opening and just when we thought the game had higher chances of moving towards a draw than a win for the Polish GM, Vidit blundered. But it was not a very clear blunder. The details had to be worked out and Duda did work them out.

In this video IM Sagar Shah goes into the depth of the opening variation, and discusses a lot of endgame concepts.
